This perfectly sums up my thought process while watching. The film's claustrophobic setting charged their arguments even more, and I just found most of their harangue to be uncomfortable. Abusive is exactly the right word here, and I'm wondering if maybe that was what Levinson was getting at? This depiction of love as this explosive sometimes violent thing. It's a rather bleak way to look at such a strong emotion, but I don't know, it certainly made me reflect on some of my own relationships. Raising questions about how what love even is and how it manifests in actions and words. Anyway, great piece!
